Beginners Guide To Makeup | Collab

Hello everyone, today's post is going to be what makeup you should use if you are a beginner. This is also a collab with the wonderful +Hollie Wilsher , so go check hers out after!
Disclaimer: This is my opinion, i'm not a professional.

So, first you want a base, if you are just starting out in makeup you won't need foundation just concealer.
My recommendation is either Rimmel London Hide The Blemish Concealer or Collections Long-Lasting Perfection Concealer. This will cover your blemishes and dark circles.

Then for powder i have the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder, you can get this in your skin tone or you can get a translucent powder, which wont change the colour of your skin. Powder helps set your base in place, it will hopefully last you all day!

Next is blush, i have the W7 Powder Blush In Rose, this will give you glow and colour on the apples of your cheeks! Don't put to much on, you only need a little bit!

Moving on to contour and highlighting. I'm not sure you need this if you're a beginner but i thought i'd put it in here. Bronzer gives your cheeks and temples more depth and highlighter gives your cheekbones a nice glow. Make sure you get a matte bronzer with no sparkles, (I made that mistake). Here i have the W7 Double Act Bronzer and Highlighter.

Moving on to eyes, you should have at least one eyeliner and one mascara. Eyeliner either makes your eyes bigger (white eyeliner) or smaller (black eyeliner). Mascara makes your lashes bigger and fuller.

Now onto eye shadow, all beginners need some sort of palette. I recommend the Seventeen Eye Palette, there should be loads more to choose from your local drugstore.

For lips all you need is a tinted lip balm, baby lips have really good ones!

Now for tools, (this bit is optional) you need a big powder brush, a blusher brush and an eye shadow brush. You might also want an eyelash curler to prep your lashes for mascara.

There it is, a beginners guide to makeup! Hope you liked it, and you found it helpful. Give it a like and follow to know when i post new blog posts! Don't forget to check out Hollie's blog:
