July Favourites | 2016

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Time for me to share my July faves with you, enjoy!

Makeup:

Barry M Lipliner

I first heard about this on Zoe (aka Zoella's) channel, and it looked amazing on her so of course i had to get it! Its in the shade 17, which is this perfect dark nude colour, and i love to pair this with my NYX lip cream in Abu Dhabi. Also it's around two or three pounds, so you cant go wrong really!

Books:

Tanya Bakes

Ever since Tanya Burr announced she was coming out with a baking book i've been super excited to buy it! Its filled with lots of amazing and tasty looking recipes, and its been super fun baking some of these! I definitely recommend this if you're a baking fanatic like me.

Me Before You

If you read my last monthly favourites you know that i watched the movie and i loved it! So after i immediately wanted to buy the book, i'm only half way through it, but it's probably the quickest book i've ever read. Its such a page turner and i urge you to go buy it now!

Moon Choker

I dont usually wear or own jewellery, but chokers are an exeption! This super cute cresent moon one was only £2.50 from etsy, and i wear it almost everyday!

TV & Film

American Horror Story: Coven 

I really wanted to watch ahs, but the first two seasons sounded really scary, and as you know i despise horror. So i decided to watch coven, it wasnt that scary at all just disturbing and a bit gory. I loved this series so much, and i reommend it highly. (On netflix)

The Longest Ride

This is the perfect cheesy film, if you're in the mood for some romance, and maybe some crying at the end! 

Gilmore Girls

This is quite an old show and i wish i discovered it sooner, my friend recommended this to me. So i gave it a go and soon i became obsessed, go watch it if you haven't already!

5 Healthy Tasty Snacks

 Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today's post is a little different from

 my usual beauty and fashion posts. I'm going to be sharing with you my favourite healthy snacks, this post is inspired by nuts.com

They have lots of great healthy snack options. You can also check out this blog post for more information on different super foods HERE 

Enjoy:)

1. Healthy Cookie Dough Bites

These are a great alternative to cookies, they are super easy to make and taste amazing too!

You will need:

1/2 cup of oats

1/4 cup of agave or honey

1/4 cup of ground almonds

1/4 cup of peanut butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

dark chocolate chips

Mix all these ingredients together, roll them into ball shapes and pop them in the fridge for about 25 minutes!

2. Hummus and Pitta Bread

For this one all you have to do is toast your pitta and grab your hummus and start dipping! You could also try celery sticks, carrot sticks you could dip anything really!

3. Peanut Butter + Banana Rice Cakes

 All you need is :

Sliced banana

rice cakes

peanut butter

Then spread the peanut butter (you could also use almond butter) on the rice cakes and add the banana slices, and then you can enjoy your healthy snack!

4. Homemade Berry Yogurt

You will need:

250g of mixed berries

250g 0% fat Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon of agave or honey

Food processor 

Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until its smooth, then serve and enjoy! You can also add chia seeds
they have a load of nutritional value and have benefits to provide healthy skin!

5. Healthy Cookie Dough Bars

You will need:

1 cup of rice krispies

1/2 cup of plain flour

3 tablespoons of peanut butter

1/3 cup of agave or honey

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

optional- sprinkles, chocolate chips

Mix all the ingredients together, pop it in a brownie tin and put it in the fridge for around 30 minutes!

June Favourites | 2016

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! You know what time it is, monthly favourites time, woop woop!

Its nearing the end of my school term, and i will hopefully have more time to blog, so leave some post suggestions below:)

Fashion:

Boyfriend Jeans

Only one fashion favourite this month, and it is these pair of boyfriend or mom jeans. I do have another pair of these but i feel these ones fit a lot better, plus they have a cute flower design on them! This pair was £17.00 from Primark.

TV & Film:

Bates Motel

You guys know i go through two or three TV shows a month, so I'll start with Bates Motel. I first heard about this from VelvetGh0st on youtube, it sounded like the perfect show to me, and let me tell you i whizzed through season one, i am currently on season three and its super good. To sum it up its kind of a physiological thriller/mystery. Go watch it if you haven't already!

 

Sailor Moon

I think everyone and their cat has watched this, and I've been super into anime, so i decided to watch the queen of all animes, sailor moon! This is the perfect programme to binge watch and that's exactly what i did. I also think this is perfect for anime beginners.

 

 Jane Eyre

As I've been completely obsessed with period drama/films recently, i had to watch this, and I'm so glad i did! I loved every minute of it and i one hundred percent recommend this! (version with Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender)

Me Before You

This is the best (modern) romance film ever! I loved it so much, it will make you laugh and cry (maybe at the same time). It also has a wonderful message, and i urge everyone, even if you don't like romance films, to go and watch it!

 Youtubers:

Gabriella Lindley (vlog channel)

Don't get me wrong i love gabby's main channel, but theres something so addicting about her vlogs. She is one of my favourite vloggers by far!

Simply_Kenna

I find Mckenna and her videos so interesting and unique, also her videos are so original, you should go check her out!

Random:

Peas in a Pod Tsum Tsum

As you know i have a small collection of tsum tsums, so i decided to get this one! Its so cute, and its also great for cleaning phone/laptop screens!

 Best Fiends Game

I know so many youtubers have been sponsored by this game, but i am not. I genuinely love this app, its super addicting and such a great game for when you're bored.

Beach Day Essentials

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today im going to be sharing with you my beach day essentials, also check out adore me
plus size range and instagram, enjoy!

First up the most important essential for a sunny day, sun cream! I have this lavera one, which is awesome because its an all natural product with no nasty chemicals, it makes your skin feel soft while protecting you at the same time!

Next is a good book, for if you get bored or just want a great read, i have Looking for Alaska by John Green, even though im only halfway through i love it already!

Sunglasses! Everyone needs a cute pair of sunnies, i actually dont know where mine are from (as i got them as a gift).

Finally is a bag to put all your essentials in! I have this one from Jack Wills, how cute is it!

May Favourites | 2016

 Hey everyone, and welcome back to my blog! Its now June, so that means its time for another monthly favourites, enjoy!

Fashion:

Denim Jacket:

Ive wanted an over sized denim jacket for a while now, so i treated myself and bought this one from boohoo, its super comfy and you can wear jumpers underneath which is a must for me!

Makeup:

Rimmel Scandaleyes Purple Kohl:

Ive always loved the look of bright colourful eyeliner, so i picked this purple one up from the Rimmel counter, its creamy and easy to apply, what more could you want!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream:

Im in love with this, it doesnt dry out you're lips, the colour is gorgeous (Mines in Abu Dhabi)! If you want a more in detail look at this product, i did a review on it, the link is HERE 

But i definitely recommend these!

Film & Tv:

Love Island:

Oh my, i cannot tell you how obsessed i am with this show, its one of those shows where its so bad its good! Its a reality dating show on an island, thats all im telling you, you can watch it on itv2 at 9pm every night!

iZombie:

This is a recent addition to netflix, it looked intriguing so i watched it, its about this woman that turns into a zombie, oooh! Its super good, go watch it now!

Jungle Book:

Everyone was raving about this film, i have watched the original animation, and the live action is amazing! The cgi for the animals is unreal, you have to go watch this film!

Random:

My Bike!:

It was my birthday on May 16th, so my mum and dad got me a bike, its this beautiful vintage cruiser, i coulnt get a picture but heres what it looks like!

 

Yankee Candle Votive:

My best friend got me this yankee votive (in strawberry buttercream) and this cute holder, it smells so goood!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream | Review

Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog! Sorry i haven't posted in a while, busy with school and everything!

I haven't done a review in a while, and i just got the NYX matte lip cream, so enjoy:)

I haven't had this for very long, but I'm in obsessed, first i love the packaging, its very sleek looking, which is great. 

By the way i have the colour Abu Dhabi.

This was £5.50 from Boots

So, onto the actual product, the pigmentation is amazing! But the colour is a little different in the packaging than it does in the tube. In the tube, its a mauve toned nude, on the lips its kind of a peachy-brown nude, but i love the colour anyway! 

This takes around ten minutes to fully dry matte, the staying power is so good, its also kiss proof and bottle proof, that lip cream isn't going anywhere!

 I would recommend putting a lip balm underneath this, as it does dry your lips out a little bit. And finally it smells like ice cream soda!! I know other people have said it smells of cake batter, but to me it smells like old fashioned ice cream soda, its so yummy, don't eat it though!;)

A Blast From The Past

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today's post is a little different as i am going to be throwing it back to when i was a kid (when life was great) and sharing some of the things i grew up with, enjoy! You can find all sorts of cool items from your past on the auction site invaluable, which has tons of collectibles.

Heelys:

Now, i never actually owned a pair of these, but they were everywhere when i was a kid. I begged and begged my mum, but she never let me have some:( I'm seriously contemplating buying a pair!

 

Wearing whatever you wanted:

Whether it was a hello kitty top paired with a bright yellow tutu with blue converse i could wear whatever my little heart desired. Comment if you would wear this amazing ensemble down the street or even to school!!

 Picture books:

Some of my favourite books were picture books, like Dr Seuss, postman pat not forgetting each peach pear plum. (Comment if you've heard of this book!)

 

Build a Bear's

I know these are still around but these cuddly toys were the best! I actually still have my Koala and unicorn ones!

Wordart:

Every i.c.t lesson in primary school, was so much fun, purely because we got to use wordart and make posters and that sort of thing. I remember there wasn't a lot of options to choose from, but my favourite was definitely the rainbow one!

Popgirl:

I don't know about you but my favourite t.v channel was popgirl, i watched it in the morning and when i got home from school (i know, the obsession was bad) some of my favourite programmes were, mew mew power, victorious, icarly, trollz, etc.

 

GirlTalk: Magazine:

This was the magazine i got every week, it came with celebrity gossip, free gifts what more could you want in a magazine, right!;)
